I always thought of zombies as strong, but frail. So they can punch their way out of a coffin, but it's super easy to chop off a limb. Problem is that they can then keep going. It's more of a fragile thing than weak. Ants are fragile but have super strength. They can carry 10 times their weight but can easily break body parts if the same load falls on them with a bit of momentum. Whatever turns them into zombies also gives them razor-sharp adamant teeth and strong gums to hold them in place, too. Or there is an assumed absence of coffins, which is equally incorrect. They are strong but not.
