That I thought shared many of the same ideals I do. To be sure Canada has its own share of history we'd like to re-write. How we mistreated indigenous people. the French-English divide. This soldier goes back home and everyone sees the veteran missing a leg. That reduces the will to fight and has a negative effect on the psyche of the populace. Let's be real though. Would you rather be killed or just injured? Most people I know, and that includes people to whom this has literally happened to in war, would prefer a disability over death. I mean, obviously.
